Mustang Energy PLC is a Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC), whose shares are listed on the Standard List of the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange, which intends to utilise its strong management experience and strategic relationship with Acacia Resources Limited, the Company's largest shareholder, to acquire interests in energy storage and stationary battery assets.

Investment Strategy

The Company's strategic relationship with Acacia Resources Limited (Acacia) was cemented on 12 March 2021 when Acacia subscribed to a placing in the Company and acquired additional shares from existing shareholders to become the Company's largest shareholder with 24.03%.

The two companies will seek:

* To invest together in manufacturing assets involved in the energy transition process with a relative focus on the energy storage/battery value chain; and
* To invest in the development of renewable energy projects where there is scope to include stationary energy storage.

Alan Broome is a metallurgist with over 40 years' experience in mining and metals.

A well known figure in the Australian mining industry, Alan has extensive board experience, both as a director and chairman, of a number of listed and unlisted energy, mining and mining technology companies. Over the last 20 years, Alan has had in-depth experience in oil exploration and production, coalmining, equipment, services and research sectors, in the UK, Australia and abroad.

Dean L Gallegos Manageing Director of Mustang Enaergy Plc

Dean L Gallegos


Dean Gallegos has significant experience in financial markets in both institutional/retail advisory and corporate advisory roles.

Since 2002 he has acted in a executive capacity in numerous mineral and energy focused public companies in Australia and Singapore. Since 2006, he has focused on energy-related projects, principally in the USA (including Texas, Louisiana and Alaska) in both the onshore and offshore environments. In those roles he has been part of a team that leased, assessed, drilled, financed and built production facilities for both onshore and offshore oil and gas fields. In addition, those teams discovered new oil and gas fields which were subsequently monetised prior to full development.

Dean specialises in the identification of projects and the funding of the development of those projects through equity, debt and mezzanine financing. He has in-depth experience from both a operational and financial perspective in respect to the requirements of the exploration, discovery and subsequent production of oil and gas projects.

Peter Wale


Peter Wale brings a thorough understanding of financial markets and investmen tmanagement with over 25 years of diverse professional investing experience across developed and emerging markets. He has worked for various American fund managers, including Fidelity Investments, and was a partner at an international hedge fund for 12 years.

Peter remains an investor, mainly in the resources sector, and has an extensive network of contacts. He is an Executive Director and significant shareholder of Strategic Minerals plc (AIM:SML) and a director of Cornwall Resources Limited, where he has been actively involved in the development of the companies' strategy and investor communications.

Simon Holden, Non-Executive Director of Mustang Energy plc

Simon Holden


Simon Holden is an experienced corporate transactional lawyer, specialising in equity capital markets.

Simon acts for issuers, principally in connection with IPOs and secondary capital raisings on the Main Market and AIM. He has an in-depth understanding of the UK quoted company sector, having advised on a significant number of AIM and Main Market transactions, acting for both issuers and nominated advisers. He was called to the Bar of England & Wales (Lincoln’s Inn) in 1999 and was subsequently admitted as a Solicitor in England & Wales in 2002.

Simon is currently company secretary of Iofina plc (AIM: IOF) and has previously acted as company secretary of InfraStrata plc (AIM:INFA) and SolGold plc (formerly Solomon Gold plc) (LSE: SOLG).

Jacqueline Yee


Ms Yee is based in Singapore after relocating from Australia in 2019 following almost 15 years based in Europe, prior to which she worked in the Asia Pacific region for almost 12 years.  She has a global track record in mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and structured finance delivering improved returns in both the private and public capital markets.

She has global insights, local knowledge in multiple sectors and has worked in the United Kingdom, Europe, USA, Asia, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.  She is an articulate communicator and trusted ‘go-to’ problem-solver.  She has a global network of institutional investors, funds, banks, family offices and service providers, having advised and financed more than $25 billion in assets worldwide.

Ms Yee is a Mentor to DeepTech Start-Ups on Singapore IoT Tribe Accelerator programs and an Enabler Member of The Global Fintech Connector. She is fluent in multiple Asian and European languages and presents globally, she has also authored reports that have been implemented in institutional and public policies.
